Two of Surrey's many underground sites...
These shelters were built to protect local residents during World War II. There are rumours that it was linked to the nearby Cane Hill asylum, but they're not true. In later years it was used to store pieces of car engines and the like. Odd. It's now sealed up again.
My first attempt at some sort of drains. The River Wandle has been redirected under the streets of Chertsey using a big concrete tunnel.
I found it surprisingly difficult to take photos in these conditions. Nowhere to put bags down or whatever made things really hard - something that's often taken for granted!

Iv never thought of checkin out newer stuff really but i suppose its rarely seen by anyone though ... awesome idea... i bet it was noisy though lol cheers Steadym
